Crochet Ribbing Stitch: This project is going to be made with the crochet ribbing stitch. Here is a link to the half double crochet ribbing video tutorial. The ribbing is created by working in the loop behind each stitch. This pushes the two loops at the top of the stitch to the front to create a ribbing effect.

This project can easily be modified to fit different size music players.

I am including two ways to start. You can choose the Foundation Half Double Crochet or start with a Chain.

Start 1: 16 FHDC

Start 2: Chain 18, in the 3rd CH from the hook work, a HDC and 1 HDC in each CH across for a total of 16.

Note: There will be a chain 1 at the beginning of each row. The chain 1 will not count as a stitch, only a step up to the next row.

Row 1:
CH 1 turn, Do a HDC in the top of the previous stitch. Work each of the next 14 stitches in the loop behind the stitch for the ribbing, do a HDC in the top of the last ST. (16 HDC total)

Row 2-14: CH 1 turn, Do a HDC in the top of the previous stitch. Work each of the next 14 stitches in the loop behind the stitch for the ribbing, do a HDC in the top of the last ST. (16 HDC total)
